Since starting in Real Estate in 1995, David has worked for a number of Independent Agents and Franchise Groups as well as suppliers to the Real Estate Industry including SA State Manager for Australian Property Monitors and at the beginning of the "dot com" boom the SA State Manager for property.com.au.

His sales experience ranges from clean residential vacant blocks to multi-story office buildings and his leasing experience includes residential, commercial shops, offices, warehouses and factories. David is also a buyer’s agent.

David has a Masters in Business Administration and has a Doctorate in Business Administration both of these included a thesis on Real Estate. These studies have given him a stronger understanding of the financial, environmental and legal issues that can affect any real estate transaction - from the simplest sale, to the most complex commercial development. David Beattie at Beattie Real Estate continually exceeded our expectations when negotiating the sale and coordinating the settlement process of our investment property in Adelaide. There were a number of potentially frustrating factors in the sale including overseas buyers requiring FIRB, residing tenant notifications, minor repairs and maintenance and the vendors (us) residing interstate and then travelling overseas in the middle of the settlement process – David just got on with what was needed to expedite the sale including the coordination of required repairs and maintenance, removal of existing furniture and a number of other settlement matters that went beyond the role of the typical sales agent.
